Six years of Game Time.
The strongest room yet.
Game Time returned to VEA Newport Beach for its sixth edition. Hosted by Josh Childress and Romeen Sheth, the day convened one of the most distinctive rooms in sports and private capital: founders, franchise owners, allocators, and champions across the leagues, categories, and cap tables shaping the future of the game. Thank you for being part of it. This dispatch covers the day, the room, and where the platform goes from here.

Five conversations, one arc
Five conversations carried the day, each building on the last: what championship organizations do differently, how billion dollar businesses actually get built, what it means to own a franchise today, how athletes are stepping onto the cap table, and how AI is rewriting the playbook for all of it.
Andre Iguodala (4x NBA Champion, Founder, Mastry VC) and Dorell Wright (NBA Champion, Founder, ACE Members Only), moderated by Stevie Case (CRO, Vanta)
Tanay Tandon (Founder & CEO, Commure) and Nick Ludy (CGO, A-Lign), moderated by Romeen Sheth (Founder & CEO, Workstreet)
Alex Bhathal (Co-Owner, Sacramento Kings), Lisa Bhathal-Merage (Governor, Portland Thorns) and Larry Brinker, Jr. (CEO, Brinker Family Office), moderated by Samin Odhwani (Commissioner, Major League Pickleball)
Josh Childress (Former NBA, Founder, CrestHaven Capital), Michael Redd (Former NBA, Olympic Gold Medalist, Founder, Twenty Two Ventures) and Spencer Jones (NBA Player, Denver Nuggets), moderated by Chamillionaire (Access Club)
Andrew Yang (Former Presidential Candidate, Founder, Noble Mobile), moderated by Vivek Sodera (Founder, Superhuman + Supercharge.vc)

Presented by CrestHaven Capital with this year's partners Workstreet, A-Lign, UC Irvine, and Karma Automotive.
The room, quantified
Game Time is not a party. It is a convening of capital, operators, and athletes with a shared interest in the business of sport. Here is the scale of who was in the room this year.
By Role
By Sector
The Trophy Case
This was a room of winners. Multiple NBA titles, Olympic gold, championships won overseas, and a Grammy. Founders and operators behind seven unicorns spanning healthcare AI, cybersecurity, trust management, productivity software, private-markets infrastructure, and consumer platforms. Franchise principals whose combined ownership footprint carries enterprise value north of $10B. Public and private capital represented across three continents. A former U.S. presidential candidate. The operators and allocators building the next decade of the business of sport.
Rooms like this are built, not booked.
Game Time 2026 was the sixth edition of the flagship. The model has not changed: invitation only, where founders, owners, athletes, and allocators meet as peers. What compounds is the network behind it: alumni return, and they bring people who hold the same standard.
Seven unicorn founders and C-suite leaders were in this year's room. More than fifty have come through Game Time since the first edition. The athletes and entertainers in the network carry 40+ championships, gold medals, and Grammys between them.

Partners and sponsors across six editions, alongside some of the organizations represented in the room.
In their words

Reflections from across the Game Time network.
CrestHaven Capital
CrestHaven Capital is an institutional private investment platform focused on sports-anchored real assets and infrastructure. We acquire and build platforms, not one-off deals, with an emphasis on durable cash flow, downside protection, and long-term enterprise value.
Game Time sits at the center of that thesis: the network in the room is the same ecosystem in which we invest.
Sports & Sports Infrastructure
Professional sports teams and franchise ownership stakes, the real estate anchored to them, training and performance facilities, youth and amateur sports platforms, and the operating businesses that surround the game. We invest where sport intersects with real assets and recurring revenue.
Critical Infrastructure
Government-adjacent and mission-critical assets, including aerospace and defense-linked facilities and essential-use real assets, underwritten for contracted cash flow, high barriers to entry, and strategic optionality.
Domain expertise, in the seat

Josh Childress
A Stanford graduate with a 15-year professional basketball career across the NBA and internationally. Josh has since built and invested across real estate, professional sports ownership, and private operating platforms. At CrestHaven, he leads platform acquisitions, capital formation, and the firm's sports and real asset strategy. He co-founded Game Time to institutionalize the network he built across both careers.

Maury Bradsher
Two decades as an operator and investor in private markets, with a career built on acquiring, scaling, and governing companies across defense, healthcare, cybersecurity, and real estate. Board service includes The MITRE Corporation, alongside a senior advisory role with Star Mountain Capital. At CrestHaven, he anchors capital markets, structuring, and institutional partnerships.
The room does not close when the day ends.
Game Time is built as a network, not an annual meeting. The most valuable outcomes of the day happen in the months after it. Three ways to stay engaged:
Tell us who you want to meet
We make targeted introductions across the network year-round. If there is someone from the room you did not get to, reply and we will connect you directly.
Go deeper with CrestHaven
Attendees get a direct line into the platform: our thesis, current pipeline, and partnership and co-invest conversations as they develop.
Stay on the list
Game Time remains invitation only, and alumni carry priority. Details on the seventh edition will come to this list first.
